Open Sezami ("we", "us", "our") is a parental control app that helps families manage screen time. We take your privacy seriously.

Information We Collect

Open Sezami uses Apple's CloudKit to sync family data (tasks, device pairings, and settings) between paired devices. This data is stored in your iCloud account and is not accessible to us.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our own servers. We have no backend servers.

Data Stored on Your Devices

• Family pairing data — device identifiers and pairing codes used to connect parent and child devices
• Task/checklist data — task names, completion status, and schedules
• App selection data — which apps are shielded, stored locally using Apple's FamilyControls framework
• Settings — preferences like lock mode and notification settings

Third-Party Services

• Apple CloudKit — used to sync family data between devices. Data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — used to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase data from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Open Sezami is designed for use by families. The child's device stores only task and shielding data necessary for the app to function. We do not collect any data from children. No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.

Data Retention

All data is stored in your iCloud account or locally on your devices. Uninstalling the app removes local data. iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
